My friend Captain James Pic is a fishing guide in Panama City. As a light tackle guide James believes in well balanced equipment, presentation of the bait and knowing where the fish are found. That is something he can offer you that few in the area can. As a native, there are very few places in the waters around Panama City Florida that James has not fished. Captain James gets followed by other guides on a regular basis.
Captain James latest fishing report from April 2nd follows:
Arron Reader and his father in law, Alton, came down Monday for a trout trip of a life time. It was cold, cloudy and blowing but the trout were hot and eager to eat. We caught close to 150 fish on DOA and popping corks with some nice keepers to boot. Later in the morning we went after spanish, catching a few of those, when Alton landed a big pompano on a spanish jig. No suprise, they usually shop up in that same bay spot every year. The trout bite has been good all week and should continue. The spanish bite is going strong with fish popping all over the bay. When fishing for spanish use jigs and Gotchas! while the fish are submerged. If they come up later on in the morning pull out the trusty bubble rig and get ready to have fun.
