WAUSAU – The 39th Annual Wausau Fun Day and Possum Festival is Saturday, Aug. 2. The weekend features a 5k run, parade, baking contest, quilt auction and car show, as well as live entertainment all day.
The highlight of the day is the Possum Auction, and with political season in full swing, a large turnout is expected. The Possum Festival remains a totally free heritage event in this part of Northwest Florida and highlights the history and culture of the area.
