Panama City Beach – The 2011 Seabreeze Jazz Festival Lineup and Schedule has been Announced!

Panama City Beach – The base of operations for the Festival is the Aaron Bessant Park Amphitheater on the west side of Pier Park.  Our guests at Best Panama City Beach Condo Rentals at Celadon Beach www.bestpanamacitybeachcondo.com are looking forward to the festival.

A dinner cruise aboard the Lady Anderson featuring Eric Darius kicks off the festival.  Boarding starts at 6:30PM on Wednesday April 13 and the show will start at 7:10.  The boat will dock again at 10PM.

The shows in Pier Park start Thursday the 14th and Friday the 15th at 6PM.  (Gates open at 5PM).

Saturday and Sunday the gates open at 9AM and shows start at 10AM.

Friday and Saturday also feature the SmoothLounge Seabreeze All-Star Jam after patty at Reggae J’s hosted by Eric Darius.  The after parties feature various artists from the Festival and start at 10:30PM.

The current 2011 lineup includes:

George Benson, Boney James, Brian Culbertson, Norman Brown, Candy Dulfer, Gerald Albright, Richard Elliot, Peter White, Mindi Abair, Eric Darius, Kirk Whalum, Warren Hill. Ken Ford, Euge Groove, Jeff Golub, Marion Meadows, Cindy Bradley, Dotsero, Michael Lington, Marcus Anderson, Julian Vaughn, Nicholas Cole and Jones & Company

What to know before you go…

The event is Rain or Shine with no refunds.

Children & Pets – 12 and under admitted free with paying adult. No pets allowed inside venue

Seating – Bring a lawn chair or a blanket as festival area is grass field. Chair rentals ($10 per day) available at front gate or pre-ordered online or at 1-800-595-4849.

Parking – Parking will be available on site.

Coolers – Limited to small coolers that can be lifted by one person and enter through turnstiles. PLEASE, NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. Sheriff Deputies will check all coolers and confiscate any alcoholic beverages and open containers. Only SEALED non-alcoholic beverages allowed (water, soft drinks, and juice). All food items are OK. If coolers are too deep to do a visual check, the items at the bottom will need to be emptied into a bin for checking by security. Please note a cash bar will be available inside the venue along with a variety of food vendors.

Umbrellas – Only allow in the up position between acts and must come down while artists are performing. Please wear a hat and bring sunscreen because shade is limited.

Smoking – No smoking will be allowed under the tented areas. Please be considerate of your non-smoking colleagues.

CD Sales and Merchandise – Each artist’s CDs will be on sale in the Merchandise Tent near the entrance along with festival shirts, hats, and other jazz festival items.

CD Signing and Artist Meet and Greet – Each artist will sign and meet the fans in the Merchandise Tent after each performance. Photos with artist OK.

Cameras – Cameras are permitted.

Food Vendors / Beer & Wine Sales – A variety of food vendors will be located at the Food Court area on the west side of the festival area. Beer, wine, and frozen drinks will also be available.

Arts & Crafts Vendors – A wide variety of vendors will be on site for shopping all weekend.

ATM – Available on site at two locations. Plus several ATM machines across the parking lot at Pier Park.

  2. I own the original of the Gockel painting that was used for the theme of the 2011 Seabreeze Jazz Festival. I commissioned the painting in 2006 at an art auction in Michigan where Gockel was the featured artist.
