Panama City Beach – Shrimp Boat Opens Today

PANAMA CITY BEACH — I covered the Shrimp Boat opening in the blog a couple of weeks ago so here is the real opening…The Shrimp Boat opens today in St. Andrews just in time as Captain Anderson’s is closing for their fall/winter vacation.

The Shrimp Boat Restaurant is opening its doors today at 4:30 p.m. after over two years of construction.

Located at 1201 Beck Ave. in St. Andrews, the three-story restaurant features an expo kitchen, two upstairs banquet rooms and a 55-foot bar overlooking the Smith Yacht Basin. Loren Smith is the restaurant’s owner.

The Shrimp Boat will be open Mondays through Saturdays at 4 p.m.

For more information, call 785-8706 or visit

If you are staying at our Panama City Beach condo and check out the Shrimp Boat let us know how it compares to the other seafood restaurants in town.

  1. Thanks for the update. I was in PCB last weekend. I will have to go the the SB next trip.

  2. The food is great!!!!!!! we’re talking smoked gouda grits and the freshest fish around. they make their own spicy blue cheese for the blue salad and that was out of this world. don’t forget to try the stuffed grouper. anything you order will be wounderful because the shrimp boat puts so much effort into every dish. Good Going Guys!!!!!
