Panama City Beach – Bay Town Trolley Implements Summer Initiatives
With half the year over already, Bay Town Trolley is riding the wave of increased ridership as year-to-date totals are 73 percent above this same period in 2008. Contributing to this dramatic ridership increase, are extended hours and new routes like the Career Connector.
With the summer peak season in full effect, trolley officials have increased frequencies by putting an additional trolley on the beach and downtown routes. In addition to these route enhancements, students can also benefit by receiving unlimited rides on the trolley this summer between June 1 and Sept. 1, 2009 through purchase of a Student Summer Pass for just $30.
In celebration of the national Dump the Pump Day, Bay Town Trolley is letting everyone board the trolley FREE on June 19, 2009. Trolley officials are also coordinating the first ever Dump the Pump Business Challenge by seeing which business can get the greatest percentage of its employees to commute to work via the trolley on this day. Prizes for the winning businesses include free trolley passes and complimentary interior advertising space.
Saturday Service is coming! That’s right Get Up & Go with Bay Town Trolley on June 6, 2009 and help celebrate the beginning of Saturday Service.
